We have an event called Encounter at our church, where we invite new people so they can experience God's love for the first time. Many Functioneers also attend this event. Encounter God - is considered a lifestyle of relationship with Jesus. The purpose of the event is to boost that relationship and get closer to Him. Teen Encounter revolves around five things; Revelation of the Cross/Forgiveness of sin(s), emotional healing (forgiving others), freedom from bondage (addictions and "habits"), baptism of the Holy Spirit, and Vision/Purpose in life. After Encounter the people who attended wrote down their personal testimonies, this inspired us to get creative. We chose quotes from the testimonies that really stood out to us and created these canvases to depict them.

| First we ripped magazines and hot glued the pieces onto the blank canvas. *Tip: Use generally one color for the background, either dark or light. When there are too many colors it begins to be hard to read the quotes, learn from our mistakes. Then we arranged the letters how we would like them to look (I believe vinyl letters, Michaels 6.99). |

| We attempted to make an ombre effect and it didn't turn out so lovely. The background also had to many colors. Don't have colors on your background that are the same color as your paint!! Really ruins the legibility of the canvas. |
